Subject: HIT 6000 Nut Substitution (deviation)

This bulletin is to notify you that the H.I.T. 6000 is currently being manufactured with a substitute Nut Fastenal PN 0169673 in place of the Jam Nut (8120452) 9/16-12 Hex w/lock. (see below) Since this substitute is NOT a locking Nut, we apply Loctite 263 (Red) to threads and torque to 65 ft. lbs. If you are working on the H.I.T 6000 and need to remove this nut, you must re-apply Loctite 263 to threads prior to re-installing.

This fastener threads directly onto the foot pedal linkages, cylinder mounting pins, or vertical slide locking shafts inside the tire changer's cabinet.
