Subject: Rim Clamp - New Style Grip Max Clamps

At the beginning of October 2012, some machines began shipping with the new style Grip Max extended clamps called Grip Max Plus. About the beginning of November 2012, all machines so equipped, will be shipping with the new style. The old style clamps employ white grips and the new style clamps use black grips. The contact area of the black grip is significantly wider. None of the clamp components are interchangeable between the two versions except the bolts and nuts. Subject: Obsoleted Grip Max clamps

NOTICE: The obsoleted Grip Max (85000758, 85600345, & 85606361) clamps require the use of the white nylon inserts (85000594). 85000758 85600345 85606361 They are not interchangeable with the black nylon inserts (85607161) of the Grip Max Plus (85607787, 85607986) clamps. 85607787 85607986 The white nylon Grip Max clamp inserts (8500059440, 40 pack) have been obsoleted and supersede to (8500059408, 8 pack). The 8 pack (8500059408) and the rebuild kit (85000768) for the white insert Grip Max clamps will be available while supplies last or until 12/31/19 (whichever comes first). Once unavailable, the alternative will be to replace the Grip Max clamps with current production Grip Max plus (85607787 or 85607986) clamps.

Subject: GRIPMAX CLAMPS

85000593 clamps no longer have any replacement grips available. Prior to 2011 Grip-Max Clamps were made using the 85000593 clamps. The white nylon grips for these clamps were 8500059408 or 8500059440. A complete hardware kit including grips, covers, bolts & nuts was 85000768 or 85600314. All part numbers which include the white nylon inserts are now obsolete and unavailable. Post 2011 Grip-Max Plus clamps utilize the 85607159 clamps (pn stamped into clamp). These clamps utilize 8560716108 black nylon inserts and 85607785 complete hardware kits.
