Subject: Oil Injector Fitting Change

Beginning in early July, P/N 8184675 oil injectors used on Rim Clamp Tire Changers are equipped with a 3/8”x 3/8”x1/8” NPT barbed “T” fitting on the outlet port. Eventually, service oil injectors will also change to the new style fitting. It may sometimes be necessary to use the outlet port fitting from the old injector on the new injector during injector replacement. This will be dependent on which fitting was original equipment on the changer and which is on your service stock. However, note that the 3/8” hoses that connect to the 1/8” tube tee in the old configuration should be long enough to connect directly to the barbs on the new style “T” fitting. Both fittings use a 1/8” NPT connection to the injector body.
