The 1"/4" NPT X 1"/8" NPT Reducer Fitting is a premium pneumatic connector designed to direct compressed air flow reliably to foot pedal control valves, air manifolds, and cylinder assemblies inside professional tire changers.

Corrosion from moisture in shop air lines can cause brass fittings to crack or leak. This direct-replacement fitting ensures a perfect, leak-proof pneumatic seal to maintain constant system pressure (up to 175 PSI).

Subject: Robo-Arm Cylinder Fitting & Tube Length Change

We are now being supplied with cylinders that have 1/8”-27 NPT air inlet/outlet bores. This eliminates the need for the two p/n 8109481 ¼” NPT to 1/8” NPT reducers. 8183680 Tube 27” length does NOT change 8183679 Tube will change to 6” length 8109481Reducer Eliminated This slightly reduces the overall fitting length. As a precaution to prevent a kink in or strain on the tube, we have increased the length of p/n 8183679 (TUBE-NYLON) from 5” to 6”. Be aware of this if you replace a cylinder. The original tube may work, but if you have any doubt, replace it with the longer version tube.

Subject: BaseLine 200 - Bead Loosener Cylinder

Replacement and production BaseLine bead loosener cylinders are now different than the P/N 85607145 original design BL cylinders. Bead loosener cylinder kit P/N 8182709 should be used when replacing a BaseLine BL cylinder. It includes a new piston rod nut, 2 new clevis pins and retaining clips, 10mm fittings and 10mm tubes. In addition, you will need a P/N 8109481 reducer fitting. You need to remove the 10mm fittings and tubes and install the old 8mm tubes and fittings from the old cylinder adding the new reducer to the bottom cap to receive the old bottom 8mm fitting. See the pictures below.

🔧 Pro Installer Tip:

Never over-torque brass fittings into aluminum valve bodies! Wrap the male threads in 2 wraps of Teflon tape or apply liquid thread sealant, thread until hand-tight, then snug down 1 to 1.5 additional turns with a wrench to align.
