Subject: 950-1055 Touch Panel PCB Ground Strap Change

Brake Lathes Beginning in April 2004 with serial No. 0404XXXXXX the Model 950 through Model 1055 touch panel PCB ground strap was changed. This was done because shipping vibration caused the alligator clip on the pod end to occasionally disconnect. The new ground strap is still connected by an alligator clip to a touch panel PCB stand off. The other end employs a ring terminal that connects to the green chassis ground screw. This new strap is now incorporated into the signal harness assembly p/n 8112839. Whenever servicing the touch panel on the above models, always check that the ground strap is properly secured to the stand off.
