Update Date: April 2006 Subject: WB-1051 Newer Hood Switch Position Kit
If model 950, 1025, 1050, 1055, 1250, or XR Series balancers fail to start automatically when the hood is closed, but do start if the hood is pulled down slightly, it may be due to an excessive gap between the actuator protrusion on the hood switch cover and the hood bar weldment. (Pictured and described in .) This is due to manufacturing tolerances in the hood bar weldment. We have added a hood switch positioner to the hood bar weldment. It is targeted to be installed on manufactured units beginning Monday April 17, 2006. This bracket needs to be adjusted when the hood is installed on a new balancer.
