The Champion TEN008741 is a genuine OEM low oil level switch designed for Champion R-Series air compressor pumps, including R15B, R30D, R40A, R70A, and VR10-12 models. This new-style switch continuously monitors the oil level inside the compressor pump crankcase, and if the oil drops below the minimum safe operating level, its internal reed switch opens to interrupt power to the motor circuit, automatically shutting the compressor down to prevent pump seizure and catastrophic bearing or cylinder damage from running dry. Rated NEMA 1 for standard indoor shop environments, the switch is supplied with an attached cord for direct wiring into the compressor's control circuit. This switch does not include mounting fittings and is intended as a like-for-like replacement of the low oil switch component only.
