Subject: Rim Clamp - 70H - BL Cylinder, Pivot, & Arm

Beginning in March of 2013, S/Ns 1303101566 & 1303101491, Discount Tire 70 Series Rim Clamp Tire Changers are equipped with a new bead loosener cylinder, a Heim joint instead of a pivot pin, and a slightly modified BL arm to accommodate the Heim joint. The same changes are going into effect on all standard production, hand control, 70 series models today beginning with S/N 1308100031. BL Arm Change: An interior welded support plate was moved slightly to allow clearance for the Heim joint. Note that the part number (8182002) for the BL Arm has not changed and that the new design is backward compatible but the old design is not forward compatible.
