The 8000376 Brass 90-Degree Hose Barb Elbow (Ell) Fitting is a direct-replacement pneumatic connector engineered for the foot pedal control valves and pneumatic helper arm cylinders of professional tire changers. It features a 1/4" NPT male thread on one end and a high-grip 1/4" hose barb on the other, allowing you to connect 1/4" ID rubber or polyurethane air lines at a sharp, space-saving 90-degree angle.
Over years of constant shop operations, brass hose barbs can wear down, develop micro-cracks, or suffer damage from accidental tool strikes inside the cabinet. A worn or loose barb allows compressed air to slowly leak or blow off under high-pressure spikes (up to 175 PSI). This direct-fit replacement restores tight, leak-proof connections, keeping your table-clamping and helper-arm pneumatic systems operating at full speed and pressure.
This fitting installs directly on the Pneumatic Foot Pedal Control Valve ports or the Helper Arm / Hand Bead Lever Cylinder assemblies of the tire changer. It connects the female 1/4" NPT ports on the valve body directly to 1/4" ID flexible air hoses at a clean, 90-degree angle.
This universal brass 90-degree hose barb elbow is verified to fit the following Coats Rim Clamp® tire changer families:
These drawing-adjacent parts connect directly next to this hose barb elbow on your foot pedal valve and helper arm cylinder schematics:
When pushing your 1/4" ID rubber or polyurethane air hose onto the barbed end of this fitting, dip the end of the hose in warm, soapy water first. This lubricates the inner liner, allowing the hose to slip easily and fully flush against the brass hex body. Always secure the connection with a high-quality hose clamp to prevent the line from blowing off during sudden pressure surges (which can reach up to 150 PSI during bead-breaking cycles).
