Assembly Instructions
1. Disconnect main air and electrical (if applicable) lines from machine. Remove all air from machine.
2. Disconnect the three air hoses going to old manifold bleed valve. Save the hose clamps as hose clamps are not provided.
3. Remove old Manifold bleed valve
4. Use the PTPE tape on the threaded part of the manifold.
a. The right way is to wrap it clockwise around the thread of the joint. The easiest way to remember which way to wind the tape is to hold the pipe in your left hand and apply the tape with your right hand. Wrap the tape over the thread and unroll the tape away from your body. If you are left handed, do it the opposite way so that you hold the joint with your right hand and unwrap the tape towards your body. This means the tape will tighten in the right direction and not unravel when you tighten the nut. Wrapping PTFE tape three times around the joint is enough—any more than that and you risk overloading the thread with tape.
5. Place the manifold with the threaded taped up part coming out of the hole where the old bleed valve used to be.
6. Place the washer on the threaded part then place the bleed valve on the threaded part. Tighten the bleed valve assembly until it fits snug and the valve is secure.
7. Reconnect all of the air hoses and tighten all of the hose clamps.
8. Restore power and air to the machine.
